FRAGMENT (CH) Unknown composer, guitars and bass guitars. Fragment performs dark grooves and an unconventional tortured metal. The last album was produced by Meshuggah's guitarist Fredrik Thordendal and displayed the expected Fragment characteristics, however the songs began to get longer and more expressive, focusing on efficiency and aggressivity, while retaining the accurate sense of worrying sonorities that have graced the band's past material. |

SKULLSCRUHER P. (CH) composer, guitars, machines, strings. This hybrid art of the Skullscrusher project marries warm cinematic tones with crushing sounds over ever haunting drones. slowly the music starts to groove and devolve into a visceral desire to detonate. The melodies have barely the time to take shape, they are rapidly disintegrated, achieving a dynamic equilibrium. From hip hop rhytms to hard techno, harnessing dub and surgical metal, the initiator of the Skullscrusher project always tries to tread new sonic fields. Obviously it takes you to the inexplicable and darker side with such intensity and originality, that if Dario Argento and David Lynch were working together on a movie, we could easily see the Skullscrusher project doing the soundtrack. |
